Life of the South (LOTS) Corporation is the corporate parent of our insurance companies and other operating subsidiaries. Since its beginning in 1982, The LOTS group of companies has specialized in insurance products and services serving clients in the automotive, banking, consumer finance, retail, credit card and vacation ownership industries. While offering a wide variety of traditional credit insurance products, LOTS also has been successful in designing specialty products and services that meet the needs of our clients.

Life Insurance Carriers

Life of the South Insurance Company underwrites credit, life, disability and accidental death insurance and other products through general agents and lenders in more than 40 states.

Bankers Life of Louisiana was acquired by Life of the South in 1989. It underwrites credit insurance to financial institutions and consumer finance companies in the state of Louisiana.

Southern Financial Life Insurance Company underwrites credit life, credit disability and other products in the state of Kentucky.

Triangle Life Insurance Company was acquired by Life of the South in 2007. It underwrites credit insurance in the state of North Carolina.

Property and Casualty Carriers

Lyndon Southern Insurance Company was acquired in 2006. It underwrites property insurance, including credit property and collateral protection, across the United States.

Insurance Company of the South was acquired in 2005 and underwrites credit property and collateral protection insurance in Georgia.

American Guaranty Insurance Company underwrites credit property and collateral protection insurance in North Carolina. It was acquired by LOTS in 2007.
